Day 1<\/strong>: During the first meeting of our Ukulele Club we learned (or reviewed) basics of the ukulele including parts of the instrument, strumming techniques, and finger placement. C chord:<\/em> Third finger<\/strong> placed on the third fret <\/strong>on the first string<\/strong> (string closest to the ceiling).<\/p>\n F chord:<\/em> Second finger<\/strong> placed on the second fret<\/strong> on the fourth string<\/strong> (closest to your chin) AND<\/strong> first finger<\/strong> on the first fret<\/strong> on the first string.<\/strong><\/p>\n Am (A minor) chord:<\/em> Second finger<\/strong> placed on the second fret<\/strong> on the fourth string <\/strong>(closest to your chin.)<\/p>\n Day 2: We played through a few different songs including the ones below: Thunder, Roar, & we began Lava.<\/p>\n The hardest thing we have done so far it getting out G7 chord playable with switching to other chords. Practice these chords slow and slowly switching to the next chord.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n Day 3: We focused on Lava today. This song has a tricky pattern to the chord changes.<\/p>\n More notes to come in a little bit! \ud83d\ude42<\/p>\n Day 4 – 6: Worked on all of our songs for Ukulele club. focused on switching from C – F – Am & G7 chords.<\/p>\n Day 7: Introduced G chord. Added “Try Everything” see video below. Taught how to tune your ukulele yourself.<\/p>\n <\/p>\n
